Queen Douglas

Queen has over 30 years of experience working in a government environment.  Queen has her undergraduate degree in public administration and a master’s degree in business administration both from the University of Phoenix.  She started her career from 1991-2016 with the City of Pasadena working in various departments.  Her proudest accomplishment while she was there was working in the fire department where she was able to engage the community with fire safety protocols, emergency preparedness and community outreach.

Another accomplishment was being the first to finish the All-Star Analyst Certification program. This was a program for employees wanting to increase their skills to become an analyst. In 2016, she moved to San Jose and started her career with the City of San Jose as an administrative assistant for the director of planning, building and code enforcement. She learned a lot about the planning process from start to finish and was amazed to see the end results of a building that went up.

Queen is now an administrative assistant for a deputy director of operations in the treated water division of Valley Water District in San Jose California.
